About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud Architect with a minimum of 5 years of experience to engage in the design and guidance of complex cloud architectures. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to mentor teams and ensure adherence to technical standards. Deep technical knowledge in AWS and Azure, cloud security, IAM, FinOps, and IaC is valued. The role is remote but requires residency in Portugal and availability to travel.
Requirements
Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields.
Leadership/Mentoring: Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical standards and best practices.
Communication: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Spanish (C1 level).
Cloud Architecture (Valued): Deep technical expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure architecture and services.
Security and Governance (Valued): Hands-on experience with cloud security, governance, and identity/access management (IAM).
Infrastructure/Migration (Valued): Proven experience with VMware platforms and leading cloud migration projects.
FinOps (Valued): Solid understanding and practical experience with FinOps principles.
Automation (Valued): Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and DevOps tools.
Consulting (Valued): Strong client-facing communication and consulting skills.
Processes (Valued): Experience working in ITIL-based service delivery environments.
Managed Security (Valued): Familiarity with managed security services and tools (e.g., Prisma Cloud, Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub).
Documentation (Valued): Strong documentation and knowledge management habits for scalable service delivery.
Certifications (Valued): AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or equivalent, FinOps Certified Practitioner.
Work Location: Remote work (must be based in Portugal and have availability to travel)
