About the Role
We are looking for a FinOps & Cost Optimization Analyst to drive visibility, governance, and savings across cloud, software licenses, and SaaS spend. The role focuses on analyzing usage, identifying optimization opportunities, supporting vendor negotiations, and helping transition validated savings into governance and PMO processes.

Responsibilities
Consolidate the full inventory of IT licenses across all business units, including M365, SAP, security tools, SaaS, and subscriptions.
Align with Product Owners, CISO, and ISMS stakeholders to ensure accurate license and asset governance.
Establish end-to-end cost transparency for Azure and AWS environments.
Categorize spend by business unit, environment, and workload.
Analyze actual usage versus licensed capacity to identify overprovisioning, redundancies, unused assets, and oversized resources.
Prioritize optimization opportunities based on business impact.
Develop business cases for renegotiation, consolidation, and contract termination.
Lead vendor negotiations in coordination with Legal.
Optimize cloud infrastructure through rightsizing, including idle resources, oversized instances, and reservation gaps.
Coordinate execution with Infrastructure and Cloud teams.
Track, validate, and evidence savings, then transition them to PMO and Governance.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in FinOps, Software Asset Management (SAM/ITAM), IT Procurement, or IT Cost Management.
Hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, Apptio, or equivalent tools.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft licensing, including M365, Azure EA/MCA, and True-Upprocesses.
Experience with SaaS contract negotiations.
Strong analytical mindset.
Fluent in English.
German is an advantage.
