About the Role

We are looking for an experienced PaaS Support Engineer with 3+ years of experience specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Platform as a Service offerings. This role focuses on providing L2/L3 support for GCP PaaS services, troubleshooting complex platform issues, ensuring service reliability, and collaborating with customers and engineering teams to resolve incidents and optimize workloads.

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in cloud support/operations with strong GCP PaaS focus.

  • Proven experience providing L2/L3 support for cloud PaaS services and platform troubleshooting.

  • Experience working with enterprise customers on technical support cases and incident resolution.

Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of GCP PaaS services:

    • App Engine (Standard/Flexible), Cloud Run, Cloud Functions

    • Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Firestore, Memorystore

    • Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Container Registry

    • Cloud Tasks, Cloud Scheduler, Pub/Sub

  • Troubleshooting expertise across PaaS services (scaling, deployment failures, cold starts, quotas).

  • Experience with GCP monitoring tools: Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cloud Trace, Cloud Profiler.

  • Strong networking knowledge for PaaS connectivity (VPC, Serverless VPC Access, Cloud Load Balancing).

  • Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash) for automation and diagnostics.

  • Familiarity with GCP IAM, service accounts, and PaaS security best practices.

Support Competencies

  • Incident management experience (root cause analysis, post-mortems, SLAs).

  • Ability to reproduce, document, and escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams.

  • Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.

  • Strong customer-facing communication skills for technical explanations.

Preferred Skills

  • GCP Certifications: Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.

  • Experience supporting Cloud Run or App Engine at enterprise scale.

  • Knowledge of GKE integration with PaaS services.

  • Familiarity with Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager for PaaS deployments.

  • Experience with SRE practices (SLOs, error budgets) in PaaS environments.

Language Requirements

  • Portuguese (fluency required)

  • English B2 level (spoken and written)
