About the Role
Sourcing Trust is looking for a PHP Developer with 3+ years in full-stack PHP development (PHP 7/8), front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), experience with frameworks like Laravel and Symfony, and knowledge of RESTful API design, OOP principles, and containerization using Docker.
Requirements
Over 3 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on full-stack PHP applications using PHP 7 or 8.
Demonstrated expertise in front-end development with HTML5, CSS3 (including SASS), and JavaScript, ensuring responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces.
Proven skills in MySQL database management including data modeling, optimizing schemas, and writing complex stored procedures, events, triggers, and functions to support application performance and reliability.
Solid experience with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony (version 5 or 6), implementing scalable and maintainable web applications.
Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, clean code principles, and adherence to PHP Standards Recommendations (PSR).
Ability to analyze and refactor legacy or deprecated code to improve maintainability, security, and compliance with W3C standards and accessibility guidelines.
Strong experience in developing and integrating RESTful and SOAP web services for effective interoperability.
Proficiency with version control systems like Git, familiarity with MVC architectural patterns, and Agile development methodologies.
Highly autonomous professional with a strong sense of responsibility, proactive mindset, and excellent teamwork abilities.
Preferred competencies include experience with microservices architecture, containerization using Docker, Linux environments (Debian/Ubuntu), PHP package managers (Composer), unit testing with PHPUnit, and front-end package managers like Yarn.
Additional valued skills include JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and Vue.js to enhance front-end interactivity and usability.
