About the Role
We are looking for a Platform & Cloud Engineer to operate and evolve a hybrid platform including compute, virtualization, storage, networking, and base services, while managing Azure IaaS (VMs, VNets, NSGs, LB) and operational governance. The role focuses on troubleshooting critical components like AKS, App Services, Azure SQL, ARC, APIM, Azure Local, planning upgrades/patching/capacity, producing runbooks, and collaborating on observability and automation.
Requirements
Main Responsibilities
Operation and evolution of hybrid platform (compute, virtualization, storage, networking, services).
Administration of Azure IaaS (VMs, VNets, NSGs, LB, diagnostics, policy, tagging).
Troubleshooting AKS, App Services, Azure SQL/SQL Server, IIS, Storage, ARC, APIM, Azure Local.
Azure DevOps management (repos, pipelines, boards).
On-prem virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, vSAN/VxRail upgrades, capacity).
Planning/executing upgrades, patching, capacity management, lifecycle with acceptance criteria.
Producing/maintaining runbooks and operational documentation (troubleshooting, rollback).
Collaboration with observability/automation teams for actionable alerting and reducing manual effort.
Deliverables
Technical roadmap for platform (lifecycle, versions, risks, capacity).
Runbooks and KB for on-prem + Azure operations.
Execution of structuring changes with evidence (plan, validation, rollback, lessons learned).
Technical standards (baselines, naming/tagging, operational policies).
Requirements
Mandatory Professional Experience
7+ years in enterprise Infra/Platforms with real operational responsibility.
3+ years in production Azure IaaS (administration/troubleshooting).
Proven experience in critical operations, upgrades/migrations minimizing downtime.
Preferred Experience
Experience with AKS, App Services, APIM, Azure Arc/Local.
VMware (vCenter/ESXi/vSAN/VxRail).
Azure certifications (AZ-104 or higher), VMware VCP, ITIL.
Experience in 24/7 environments (media/broadcast/events).
Technical Skills
Infra/Cloud ops, networking fundamentals, security basics (RBAC, least privilege), troubleshooting.
Practical knowledge of Windows Server/IIS and SQL Server operations.
Familiarity with automation/IaC (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps) valued.
Soft Skills
Autonomy, ownership, focus on quality.
Clear communication with technical/non-technical stakeholders.
Documentation discipline and teamwork (T-shaped model).
Language Requirements
Fluent Portuguese and English.
