About the Role
We are looking for a Platform & Cloud Engineer to operate and evolve a hybrid platform, including compute, virtualization, storage, network, and base services. The role requires deep expertise in Azure IaaS, critical platform components, and operational governance, with a strong focus on stability, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Operate and evolve the hybrid platform, including compute, virtualization, storage, network, and base services.
Administer and evolve Azure IaaS (VMs, VNets, NSGs, LB, etc.) and operational governance (diagnostics, policy baseline, tagging).
Manage and troubleshoot critical platform components:
AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) – operational consumption/integration, troubleshooting with specialist teams when needed.
Azure App Services.
Azure SQL & Microsoft SQL Server (operational, availability, maintenance best practices).
Application Servers (IIS and similar).
Azure Storage.
Azure ARC (hybrid governance/management).
Azure APIM.
Azure Local.
Azure DevOps (repositories/pipelines/boards in coordination with automation and delivery).
Manage on-prem/virtualization when applicable: VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, vSAN/VxRail (upgrade, capacity, lifecycle).
Plan and execute upgrades, patching, capacity management, and lifecycle activities with evidence and acceptance criteria.
Produce and maintain runbooks and operational documentation (including troubleshooting and rollback criteria).
Work with Observability and Automation teams to improve alert quality and reduce manual effort through automation and repeatable standards.
Requirements
7+ years in Infra/Platforms (enterprise), with real operational responsibility.
3+ years in Azure IaaS in production (administration and troubleshooting).
Proven experience in critical operations, upgrades/migrations with windows and downtime minimization.
Strong knowledge of Infra/Cloud ops, networking fundamentals, security basics (RBAC, least privilege), and troubleshooting.
Practical knowledge of Windows Server/IIS and SQL Server operations.
Experience with AKS, App Services, APIM, Azure Arc/Local is valued.
Experience with VMware (vCenter/ESXi/vSAN/VxRail) is valued.
Azure certifications (AZ-104 or higher), VMware VCP, ITIL are valued.
Experience in 24/7 environments, media/broadcast/events is valued.
Familiarity with automation/IaC (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps) is valued.
