About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with a strong business mindset and a deep technical background. While technical credibility and architectural understanding are essential, the core focus of this role is leadership, strategic decision-making, and organizational alignment. You will guide multidisciplinary engineering teams, partner with business leaders, and ensure that technical execution consistently supports long-term business outcomes.

Technical Leadership
Define technical direction and architectural standards for large-scale distributed systems.
Validate designs, challenge assumptions, and guide teams through complex trade-offs.
Ensure that technology choices align with business objectives, scalability, and sustainability.
People & Delivery Leadership
Lead and develop engineering teams, ensuring effective performance management and career progression.
Drive execution and delivery, focusing on planning, sequencing, and risk management.
Maintain execution focus and team cohesion in remote and hybrid environments.
Business & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary liaison between engineering and business leadership.
Align technical initiatives with strategic business priorities, managing competing expectations.
Facilitate clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years of backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
System design expertise comparable to Amazon/Google-level rigor.
Demonstrated people management and leadership experience.
Strong business acumen and ability to influence decisions beyond engineering.
Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments, driving clarity and direction.
Time zone flexibility to enable remote collaboration across global teams.

Background or strong exposure to business management.
Experience balancing technical and people leadership.
Knowledge of Agile delivery at scale.
Plan, coordinate, and lead projects from definition through final delivery.
Define the scope, objectives, milestones, timeline, and resources of each project.

Requirements
3 to 4 years of experience as a Project Manager.
Functional profile, focused on coordination, communication, and decision-making.
Proven ability to manage projects independently.
Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability and a sense of accountability.
Technical Skills
Experience managing end-to-end projects.
Knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Asana.
Strong working knowledge of Excel and reporting tools (as a complement, not primary focus).
Language Requirements
Minimum English level: B2 (fluency required)
